Spring Break Homework

Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Dear Parents and Students,

With the start of FSA testing so close after we return from Spring Break, we have gathered a few short ELA passages for our students to work on over break. These assignments are mandatory and will be reviewed when we return. Please know these assignments should not be completed in a single sitting. We recommend that students work on these assignments over the course of the break, completing a bite-sized portion each day.

This packet was handed out yesterday afternoon; students will have two weeks to complete this packet. No additional reading or grammar homework will be assigned during the week before break. Mathematics homework (practice book and IXL) will continue during this week. Below are a list of some suggested IXL sections to provide additional practice. Please know these sections are OPTIONAL.

Extra IXL Sections

The students are able to work in the following sections on IXL as review:

**There may be some lessons we have not learned, as they do not align with the Florida curriculum. Please note that students should not work on any material they are not already familiar with.

For example, 3-digit by 1 or 2-digit multiplication, lattice multiplication, division of 2 and 3-digit numbers, etc.

We need....

Parents,

We are in need of a few classroom supplies:

1. Glue sticks - the students run through these like crazy!!!
2. Paper towels - to wipe up those inevitable water bottle spills.
3. Sharpened pencils - the students are running low, and so am I!

If you can provide a receipt, I can award you volunteer hours for providing these necessary items.

Thank you,
Ms. Weissbaum
